Walking in a Winter Wonderland!
Happy Holidays! It’s Ali here from, https://www.instagram.com/funadventureswithali/ and I’m excited to share a delightful North Pole scene I crafted using the fantastic Santa’s Village collection from Simple Stories.
Creating my own little Santa’s village was such a joy! I nearly used every die cut in the North Pole Bits & Pieces package to bring my vision to life.
I began by cutting out three layers of snowy hills. Once I layered them, I made small holes along the edges to easily stitch a chain stitch with my needle. This added a lovely texture to the snowy landscape.
After finishing the snow hills, I placed some of the larger elements like the post office, the cozy home of Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and the sled shop. I could not resist adding a festive Christmas tree with cheerful elves adorning it! Next, I filled in the scene with smaller die cuts, featuring a sled, deer, signs, a snowman, and adorable penguins alongside a Narwhal. I used foam squares on the back of all the embellishments to give my layout a nice dimensional effect!
Finally, I added a photo of my husband and me enjoying a stroll through a winter wonderland, which perfectly matched this enchanting scene I created! To finish it off, I incorporated a bold title and decorated it with enamel dots that mimic mistletoe berries. I also used foam tape to elevate my title and sprinkled stars around it for an extra touch of magic.
I hope you love this winter wonderland layout as much as I enjoyed making it, and may your holidays be filled with joy and wonder!
Warm wishes, Ali.
