It's Nathalie with you today to share a fun idea for your Halloween and Fall documenting featuring the beautiful FRIGHTFUL FUN Collection. This new collection is a great mix of classic Halloween icons and designs with a modern color palette and delicate florals. I mixed pieces from the collection to create a scrapbook layout documenting one of our past Halloween memories.
I loved the frame in the Be Very Afraid patterned paper. My idea was to isolate it, so I fussy cut the outer edge of the paper out, then turn it into a true frame by hollowing the paper by 9". I backed the empty space with the striped side of the Spooky Season paper, and added a bit of dimension using foam adhesive to back the frame. I then glued the paper to the Bootiful Night paper.
To make sure my photos are highlighted on the layout, I framed them with some of the journaling cards in the collection, and placed them at the top left side of the base.
I mix a few of the embellishments at the top left corner of the photo. All the pieces in this collection are fun, but I wanted the softness of the florals to be the icon that brings everything together.
I love the foam word stickers, they usually make building titles easy and effortless. The size and font of the words fit nicely below the photos and within the inside of the frame. I added a few extra floral die cuts and phrase strip stickers to complete the title.
I added one large cluster at the right of the title on the bottom right corner of the base. This helps balance the spread and bring it all together. I added a few of the flying bats embellishments to help connect the pieces together.
