Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the absolutely stunning Lemon Twist collection. This collection has the prettiest patterns and I'm loving the teal, yellow and black color combo. Here's my layout:
I love creating grid layouts and when I choose to use smaller pieces, it can sometimes get a bit tricky to get them all aligned. Page Template -Design 7 is the perfect guide to use when designing a grid with 2x2 squares! I placed the template on the base of my layout, placed each square right in and that was it! I used the 6x8 Paper Pad to trim out my 2x2 squares and used the Warm White Color Vibe cardstock as the base. I trimmed a 1"-inch strip from the right and top sides of my base and adhered it to a Black piece of cardstock. I love how much it all pops!
I distressed the edges of all of my squares and popped them up on foam tape for some dimension and interest.
For my title, I chose to mix a few of the words from the Foam Stickers sheet and added onto it using the Basics Alpha Sticker Book.
I just love the look of a grid design and they're so fun to embellish! I love treating them as if they're all separate little layouts. It's a good way to use up some tiny bits or scraps in your stash too!
Next, I added a few butterflies from the Bits + Pieces pack and arranged them as if they were flying up on my page. I also layered a few of the Floral Bits + Pieces and love how they look.
Here's another look at the floral pieces. I pulled a few circular elements from the Sticker Book and adhered those around my page. I also layered a few of the Decorative Brads with them.
Creating grids is a great way to get a lot of patterns onto one page. I like to use a plain white or solid color background as my base so that the grid pieces aren't competing with it. When using a grid, all of the patterns end up being cohesive and it just works!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that I've inspired you in some way! Have you tried a grid design? If you struggle with getting everything lined up, you should definitely check out the Page Templates that Simple Stories has! They really are a game changer and they can make the process so much easier. See you in my next post friends!
