Hello Simple Stories fans! Anya here today and as my turn as a Design Team member coming to an end, I would like to share one of my favorite projects for the last blog post, another mini album! This one was created with the Safe Travels collection and I really enjoyed filling it with a lot of fun decorative pieces.
To make this mini book, I started with three pieces of heavy cardstock measuring: 5.5” x 7”, 5.5” x 7” and 1.25” x 7”, where the first two were covered with patterned paper and I used a piece of faux leather for the third one. I also used one of the matching textured cardstock to finish the cover from inside.
Using the Cinch Machine, I created two notebooks in two different sizes and added them inside the cover. These notebooks are made of patterned paper and create a really nice color distribution throughout the album. There is plenty of space for photos and stories between the two books and I left the top section on the left hand side empty for the decorative purpose, where I layered a lot of chipboard pieces and brads.
With the help of leftover pieces from patterned paper and white cardstock I decorated most of the page spreads, leaving some of them free form decor for larger prints, which I love to add to mini books.
Pages with pockets provide additional spots for photos, tags or memorabilia.
Thank you for visiting Simple Stories blog and We hope you will stop by again soon for more inspiration from other creative team members!
