Happy Haunts! by Suzanna Lee

Happy Haunts! by Suzanna Lee

Hiya Simple Stories fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a multi photo layout created using the Simple Vintage October 31st collection. I don’t actually use Snap chat for chat but I love the filters. As the kids get older, there are fewer photos I’m allowed to take and so I have to use pictures of myself and the hubs. Actually begin documenting my own life rather than our family life. Last Halloween I had a blast with the Halloween filters thus resulting in these photos that perfectly showcased with this collection!

Here's the page in all it’s spooky glory:

As there is already a lot of black in the photos, I wanted to incorporate the lighter colored patterned papers into the design. I began with a coordinating Trick or Treat simple Basics Paper as my background, it has a wonderful subtle tone on tone watermark to it and provides great contrast to the photos and other elements.

The round element of the viewfinder Chipboard Cluster really adds nice contrast to the otherwise boxy feel of the longer, rectangular Snapchat photos. Wanting to make it more my own, I layered a pumpkin Cardstock Sticker with a piece of Chipboard.

Journal spots can make great frames as well as be used for their original purpose. Here I used my sewing machine to add a hint of color with an orange zigzag stitch then attached my photo with Spider Web washi. Lots of different elements are used for additional fun décor.

Layered labels from the Bits & Pieces provide the perfect spot to journal and for more titlework/subtitles. There is not a clearly defined title to this layout but rather lots of subtitles in the form of all the phrases scattered through out the layout. Those black cats in witches hats from the Chipboard are simultaneously scary but sweet at the same time, aren’t they? There are lots of elements like that in this cute but spooky collection! Just perfect for documenting either childhood or adult Halloween memories!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope that I've inspired you to use this fun collection for your own Halloween memory keeping! Have a great day and I'll see you in my next post!
