Hiya Simple Stories fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a multi photo summer layout created using the Summer Lovin’ collection. One of my favorite summer occasions is sitting on our front porch with a juicy summer peach and savoring the sweet flavor. This layout is all about picking those fuzzy fruit of summer. The colors in Summer Lovin’ are just perfect for this memorable occasion.
With so many great pictures captured and wanting them on a single page, I decided that hidden journaling was the way to go. This allowed me to get more photos on the page and maintain the integrity of the decision structure I had established. Every Simple Stories collection is accompanied by a wonderful assortment of washi. Washi serves many great purposes, amongst which is being the “hinge” of a door over hidden journaling. I used a strip of the yellow plaid washi to secure my photo over a 3x4 pocket card with journaling beneath.
Embellishments always abound, as did the peaches this particular year! Might have had something to do with it being the first day of peach picking but you never know. Just as you never really know what embellishments to layer. I like a variety of types, depths and colors as I’ve done with this trio here. Overlapping the embellishments a bit ties them together for a more cohesive look.
My title is a combination of a partial foam sticker, summer, and letters from the Sticker Book. While there are a plethora of great word options, I really wanted to indicate peaches somewhere in the title itself. The additional letters that are always available in the Sticker Book allowed me to do that. I also like having an attention grabbing color variety and visual interest in my title.
The abundance of photos and large title at the top of the layout needed balancing out at the bottom, hence this simple footer. I’m a sucker for the sheet of tags that to me, has become a must have, with each Simple Stories collection. Layered with some simple embellishments, this rounds of the layout nicely!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you have some “simple” summer pleasures (like peaches) to look forward to and document with this wonderful collection!
