Today’s a fine day because I’m sharing EIGHT handmade greeting cards made with the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Weathered Garden Collection! It’s a walk in a proper botanical garden with floral delights around every corner!
This collection is a sweet escape on a cold fall day. It brings to mind walks through formal gardens (Bok Tower Garden in Florida anyone?) and I can almost smell the gardenias! There are lots of butterflies in several different shapes and sizes detailed enough to make it into a butterfly field guide.
The color scheme is monochromatic, shades of green from lime to pine with lots of neutrals thrown in for contrast. The prints are plaids, stripes, florals, and YES!!! More butterflies!!
My favorite part of making with Simple Stories is all of the choices I have. The images are printed and die-cut, ready for you to make. Everything is color-coordinated so you know it’s all going to look good together, and whether you’re a card maker or you document life with layouts, all of the images are proportional and sized to work together.
This collection includes ALL of your favorite accessories including chipboard, basics solids kit, washi, decorative brads, die-cut and printed bits and pieces, enamel dots, sticker book, and more. The papers are available in both 12” as well as a 6x8” paper pad.
They’ve added new embellishments too like the Chipboard Clusters, Layered Stickers, Foam Stickers, and Stamps. The washi collection for this set includes FIVE different rolls to choose from. I loved using it to add clean borders and pops of color to my designs.
I love the inspirational sentiments in this set that reminds us to stop ad make the most of today and to appreciate the little things. Sometimes it’s important to just breathe in a big breath of fresh air, look up at the sky, and remind ourselves of all we are capable of.
I plan to send these cards to anyone that might be going through a tough spot. I hope these pretty cards will remind them that they are strong and assure them that they are not alone. Life is sweet and it’s meant to be enjoyed. Problems come and go but friends are forever.
I hope you enjoy the little things too.. time to create and capture memories and time to share some smiles.
