Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to document, and today I'm sharing a fun and spooky 6x8 flipbook featuring the Frightful Fun collection from Simple Stories! This collection is filled with the cutest pumpkins, ghosts, candy corn, and playful Halloween designs, making it perfect for documenting all those sweet and spooky memories!
For my album, I started with the 6x8 Speckled Dot Flipbook. I absolutely love the black and white polka dots on the cover! They make the perfect background for all the colorful embellishments. I layered a mix of foam stickers to create a fun title, and added a cute little ghost and smiling pumpkin. To finish off the cover, I tied an assortment of ribbons, trims, and twine along the spine for extra texture and dimension.
Inside the album, I mixed full-page layouts with pocket pages to document lots of Halloween memories. I used a variety of patterned papers, mixing patterns to pop the photos. Some pages feature larger photos, while others combine smaller photos with 3x4 elements and bits & pieces.
One of my favorite details is the little pocket I created to hold extra tags and journaling pieces. It's such a fun way to add more interest to a page while leaving room for additional memories!
Of course, I couldn't resist adding a few sequin shaker pockets! They add the perfect amount of sparkle and movement to the album. I also included some machine stitching throughout the pages for extra texture and a handmade touch.
I love how this flipbook came together! It's filled with photos of Halloween costumes, friends, trick-or-treating, and all the little moments that make this holiday so special. The Frightful Fun collection has just the right mix of spooky and sweet, and I had so much fun putting everything together.
