Of all the kinds of memory keeping, working on an album to hold all of my family’s Christmas memories is my favourite. The Jingle all the Way collection from Simple Stories is just so cute and there’s a matching album which makes it an easy way to put together pages that match while telling our holiday stories.
The Jingle all the Way 6x8 binder is one of those extra thick albums with lots of space. It has some page protectors and some ready made dividers, inserts and pocket folders ready to fill up. The cover is a beautiful festive red plaid that can be left plain or decorated as much or as little as you’d like.
I kept my decorating simple, I used a Jingle all the Way foam sticker that says December and added some little foam sticker stars, stick on brads, puffy stickers and enamel dots around it with a phrase sticker from the Jingle all the Way sticker book.
If you’ve seen my projects before you know that I just love the chipboard frames! I did a full page 6x8 layout on one side with them and filled up my pockets with photos and ephemera on the other side. I used the cute scalloped plaid border sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet with a few little embellishments from Jingle all the Way and a big foam joy sticker to adorn a cute photo of my kids.
The Jingle all the Way Chipboard Frames makes it so easy to put together a full page layout. They are not my strong point so I am glad to have the help. I used a sheet from the 6x8 paper pad as the base and layered in a little photo strip with some washi and a 4x6 chipboard frame for a simple and bold page.
This page has a bit of an interactive surprise. I love adding those to my albums so much. On the left is some filled pockets with photos and journal cards and all the embellishments. I attached a mini instant photo from one of the tags from the Jingle all the Way Tags Cardstock. I used some washi as faux ribbon trough the top of the tag.
The Merry Merry Merry page (it’s a page from the 6x8 paper pad) on the right looks like a simple decorative page at first glance, but there’s a little sticker tag from the Sticker Book on the inside of the page. Lift it up to reveal something big!
Inside is an 8x12 Santa photo! I wanted this photo big and a flip page made the most sense. I cut one piece of the Jingle all the Way Warm Winter Wishes cardstock to the same size of a page protector. The red and black plaid matches perfectly with the Merry Merry Merry 6x8 page from the paper pad. I used some washi on the back (non plaid) side of the cardstock make a hinge that connects them and folds nicely. I cut my photo in half so I had two 6x8 pieces of it and then stuck my photo on top of the prepared cardstock. I left a bit of space on the left for hole punching and the cute floral pattern from the other side of the cardstock peeks through. It’s a fun way to add in a larger photo outside the pockets.
I kept the embellishments on the large photo simple with some journalling and one of the big numbers from Jingle all the Way in one corner and this cute little cluster of stickers, washi and chipboard that’s a little silly. I just love it!
