Hello Simple Stories friends. Karlla here and I'm so glad to share this project with you.
The "Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze Collection" is absolutely beautiful. I love bringing traditions to my son's upbringing, and every year we do pumpkin patching with him.
Besides being a lot of fun, I get beautiful photos of him. (I need to enjoy the moment he still lets me have fun with him, LOL).
As the base for the layout, I chose "Fresh Picked" paper. I loved the results with the photos I selected. As a background overlay, I chose a mix of "Crisp Days" and Pearl Gingham papers and irregular stitching to highlight the project's main work.
For the photo bases, I made three rectangles from "Cozy Season" paper and added them to the top of the layout. I attached all of them with foam tape. Using the "Tag Elements" paper, I chose three more. I decorated them with rope and added them (also with foam tape) over the rectangles.
I love the effect of small photos in a layout, and these tags made the photos even more fun. They gave me space to add incredible embellishments from the collection without taking away from the photos' focus. After adding the photos, I played around with the mix of elements you'll find in "Bits & Pieces, Ephemeras, and Cardstock Stickers."
I chose to leave the first tag without a photo, giving me the freedom to create a decorative arrangement. I love these overlapping details. I added some decorative brads to finish off this part of the layout.
I highlighted the title at the bottom of the layout, and I LOVED it. These words or phrases found in the "Page Pieces" are always my go-to materials. I love playing with these different sizes. To finish, I added some decorative elements, phrases, and the beautiful "Decorative Brads."
I can't wait for fall to arrive here in Texas and to enjoy my favorite season. I hope you enjoy it and find inspiration. I can't wait to see your work with the beautiful "SV Autumn Breeze."
