Most Wicked Haunting!

Most Wicked Haunting!
Hello, Simple Stories friends! Gloria Parra here today with a new super spooky layout to share with you. I had an absolute blast creating with the new Simple Vintage Scary Stories collection! This amazing vintage Halloween scrapbook collection is packed with creepy ghost, black cats, skeletons, and all the eerie details you need to document your Halloween memories and those super scary stories. It’s the perfect collection for adding a touch of vintage fright to your pages!
For this layout, I did some fussy cutting on the background patterned paper and distressed a few layers for added texture. I used a bunch of creepy elements to decorate the page and even added an unexpected, super cool piece of fabric that I absolutely loved! Let’s dive into this layout, and I’ll walk you through how I created it!
For the background of my layout, I used the black patterned paper with big beige circles. I just love the vintage newspaper feel on this polka dots. I then brought in a second layer of paper for my background. I used the orange plaid one for this but decided to create a see-through element to be able to see more of the beautiful pattern beneath and to create more interest.
For this I went ahead and cut the beige squares on the plaid pattern. Using a metallic ruler and a cutting knife I fussy cut all the middle pieces creating an awesome intricate orange paper layer. I adhered this paper to my background with lots of foam square adhesives to create depth and dimension.
I was determined to use a piece of fabric that looked like a spider web on this layout. I must admit that it felt like a crazy idea at first, but it really excited me to try it! I adhered it right in the middle of my layout using my double-sided tape runner, adhering it from one corner to the other, creating a horizontal middle line. I love how much this reminds me of all the spider webs that decorated our neighborhood that spooky night!

I then chose two different 6x8 patterned papers from the small paper pad (spider and polka dots) and distressed all the edges. I placed them in the middle of my layout, layered one on top of the other and adhered with foam adhesive. I used one of the chipboard frames to showcase my favorite photo adhered right in the middle of the two small patterned papers.
I then went hunting for six rosettes in my ephemera packs. I loved having such fun circle elements to start my embellishment clusters on both corners of my photo frame, placing three rosettes on each side.

On the bottom left corner, I added a 3x4 journaling card (from the cut apart sheet), a spooky ghost from the Bits and Pieces, the super creepy black cat on the top of my chipboard frame and the “eek” word from the Sentiment Bits. I used different foam adhesive thicknesses to create different layers on my clusters!
On the right side of my cluster I added the awesome skeleton chipboard sticker, adhered on top of the photo frame. Peaking from behind, I have the hunted house and the awesome rosettes!

For my title, I used a “Haunting” ephemera piece to create my full title that reads “Most Wicked Haunting”. I love how cute that little banner looks below my photo frame, it was the perfect subtitle!
To finish my layout, I added some deco brads on the rosettes and added some foam and chipboard bats flying from both corners, adding more. Hope you like how this spooky layout turned out; I am in love with it!!!
