Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday

Hello, Nicole here today to share a single page layout featuring the new Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday - with a special twist.
The Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday collection is full of bright colors, fun birthday themed icons and of course - Pooh and all his friends. As a fun challenge for myself, I decided to have Pooh sit this one out and see if I could create a birthday layout with the icons and elements in this collection outside of Pooh himself.
Anytime Simple Stories creates a collection with a memorial character, they always do such a good job to include other pieces that support the theme, but don’t include the characters. I think this is what rounds these lines out so much.
I picked a free online sketch and printed six photos. I purposely selected a sketch that allowed for a large title area as I really wanted to use the foam adhesive stickers as a focal point on my layout.
Small pieces like tags cut from the paper pack, phrases and hearts from the bits & pieces pack and more hearts from the foam stickers filled in all the fun colors and dimension in my layout. I tucked journal strips in with my title and added two rows of white hand stitching to bring in some more texture.
Overall, I love how simple and easy it was to create a birthday layout with this line. It’s perfect for using with all the fun character elements or focus on the simpler pieces like I did today for a good example of stretching a collection.
