Hi everyone, this is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and I have a new layout and video to share today using the Sunkissed Collection which is a bright and happy summery collection. You can find the video link at the bottom of this post.
I particularly love yellow so was drawn to the yellow paper in the collection that has loopy lines all over it. I trimmed this down, distressed the edges and stuck it to a white background.
I decided to go with a circle theme for this layout and used the SN@P! Circle Photo Crops to cut down my photos. I also used a smaller Circle Crop to trim the 2” squares from one of the cut-apart sheets into circles too. I cut more circles from patterned papers from the 6x8” paper pad and I cut white circles too.
I made some cute rosettes too. I cut strips of the diagonal striped paper 12” long but varying widths (1.5”, 1” and ¾” and scored every ¼”. I concertina folded the strips, glued the ends together and flattened into rosette shapes which I secured on the back with a punched white circle.
I arranged my photos, rosettes and all those beautiful patterned paper circles onto my bright yellow background and added a sun from the Foam Stickers and a title. I made the title from the word ‘summer’ from the Foam Stickers, and ‘fun’ from the alphabet stickers within the Sunkissed Sticker Book.
I stuck some circle stickers from the Sticker Book onto white card and punched them out with circle punches so that I had some little circles to dot around the layout and use as embellishments. Sticking them onto cardstock first makes them more sturdy, particularly so that I could raise them on foam pads.
I added more Foam Stickers: phrases and cute hearts. I added a few of the adorable Puffy Stickers too and then dotted enamel dots in between my circles.
I finished off with a few white paint splatters! Here's another look at the finished layout:
This layout turned out so fun and bright! I love the end result and it was a pleasure to create with the Sunkissed collection. Roll on summer here in the UK so that I can use it for our upcoming summer adventures! Happy scrapping
