Hey there crafty friends!
Nathalie here to share a bit of inspiration featuring the super gorgeous Simple Vintage Indigo Garden collection. This collection is filled with beautiful illustrations, glorious, patterned papers, and the most gorgeous florals and butterflies. I just had to combine it all in this page:
My go-to embellishment are the chipboard frames, and once I chose one, I decided to build the layout around it. What better way to focus on the picture frames than to frame it with patterned paper?
I used a punch to create the scalloped edges of the patterned papers. I simply cut the papers down by 1.25"at each layer; this helps to see each scalloped frame and thus frame the previous frame.
I backed the chipboard frame with pictures of my daughter and niece together. Once, I set it on the layout (top half of center frame), then it was all about embellishing with all those glorious floral die cuts
There are so many embellishments in this collection, it was easy to create the large clusters at the corners of the picture frame. I chose the large floral cluster from the Page Kit, as I wanted a bold floral to anchor the frame to the layout.
For the title, I combined chipboard and foam stickers at the bottom of the frame. Then it was all about tying the layout together with butterflies that zig zag throughout the page.
I love how this turned out! I am sure you are going to love the new SIMPLE VINTAGE INDIGO GARDEN from Simple Stories. Cannot wait to see what you create with it!
