Love This Most! by Christine Meyer

Love This Most! by Christine Meyer

Lemon Twist is not only gorgeous and packed with a unique color scheme and patterns, but it's one of the easiest collections to work with!  Christine joining you today with a layout that I put together in record setting time. All in, it took me 32 minutes!  Let's take a look at how it came together!

Right off the bat when you see this collection, you can't help but be drawn in by the beautiful colors. But as you begin to look at it, you also can see that it's workable for a variety of subjects. While you have lots of beautiful florals and butterflies, there's also all the gingham patterns too.

I knew immediately that I wanted to showcase the gingham patterned papers.  The collection features three of them in each of the focus colors of the collection. I cut three strips of them and staggered those across the layout. My base is from the coordinating cardstock for this collection.

Once I had built the background, it was time to get some photos on there!  These spring photos of my daughter were perfect. You can never go wrong with the chipboard frames and these ones were perfect. love the oval shape and the unique look it brings to the layout.

The second frame is for two pictures and worked great for the pictures I had that were a little further out. I overlapped my frames slightly and added 3D Foam Adhesive under the bottom one to help keep things level. I used the Foam Stickers for my title along with some letter stickers from the sticker book.

Often the longest part of my creative process is the embellishing part.  It's usually my last step in the process as well. As I worked on this layout, I decided to take a simplified approach to this part. I decided where to place my clusters.  I then chose a teal flower, a yellow flower, and a butterfly for each one and added them.  If it felt like it needed more then I used a small piece to fill out the cluster.  All these pieces came from the Floral Bits & Pieces.

Finally I wanted to include some brads. I knew that the metal on them would be a nice added texture to this layout. I placed some in the coordinating colors on the gingham backgrounds.
