Hello Simple Stories friends! For those who celebrate...are you ready for Christmas? Did you or your kids decorate gingerbread houses this year? Putting together and decorating gingerbread houses is one of my most favorite memories of past Christmases with Zoey. She had even more fun when I would invite friends over to make houses too! I was looking back at photos from past Christmases and knew that I wanted to document this story using the Holly Days collection.
Since my photos are a bit busy and colorful I kept the design somewhat simple and used a grid for my layout. You can see that I incorporated two tags that I cut-out from one of my patterned sheets of paper. Since they weren't the exact same size as my photos I cut patterned papers the same size as my photos to go behind my tags.
I had a lot of fun picking and choosing embellishments for this page...it kind of felt like I was choosing what candies to use to decorate a gingerbread house haha!
Enamel dots, chipboard stickers, foam stickers, decorative brads (sticky backed), and regular stickers! So much fun! Each element adds a little something special to the page don't you think?
I love Christmas! I love all the days that lead up to it the most because those are what are filled with the moments that become cherished memories.
What is a favorite memory from this year that you've experienced with family or friends? Are you planning on documenting it on a scrapbook page? I hope so!
