it's Lisa here and today I'm sharing my Birthday Pooh layout. I celebrated my 40th birthday on June 19th and had a party the week after, with all of my girlfriends. We took perfect photos to document this special day and the Birthday Pooh collection was just the right match.
To start, I did a bit of fussy cutting, of course... 🙂 I was inspired by the Pooh and Piglet image on the Birthday Wishes patterned paper and wanted to have balloons flying in the air. I used the Ready to Party patterned paper and cut out a bunch of balloons. Then, from the Birthday Wishes paper, and using an exacto knife, I cut out the image of Pooh and Piglet with the balloons. I ripped a large portion off from that paper, distressed the edges and adhered it to a white paper base. Then I took the part I had just cut out, added foam to the back and placed it back on top of the hole it had created in the paper.
I added all the balloons I had cut out, using foam tape and liquid glue to have different dimensions. I matted my photo with 4 different rectangles of paper from the 6x8 paper pad, distressed the edges and added it to the layout. From the Bits&Pieces pack, I used the Pooh-and-Piglet-walking-with-gifts piece and also added it next to my photo. It's super cute because it looks like they are walking towards us in the photo 🙂.
I ripped another piece of paper from that Birthday Wishes paper and added it to the left side of the layout. Then I chose some flower clusters from the Foam Stickers, Cardstock Stickers and Bits&Pieces and added those too.
For my title, I used foam sticker words. I also added hearts and enamel dots. I used two cute little brad stickers on Pooh's hat. To give the final touch, I splattered some gold paint all over.
I really love the colors in this collection and Pooh and his friends look just too cute... ;)
