It’s Cheryl on the blog today, and I’m so excited to share my latest mini album project featuring the Crafty Babe collection! A total must-have for all of us crafty gals!
This collection is made just for us crafters – full of bold colours, playful icons, and creative vibes. I wanted to create a small, handmade album that really reflects the heart of crafting: simple, personal, and full of joy. Instead of using a traditional pre-made base, I created my own album using four plain white cards (each 8 x 5.5 inches folded in half), which gave me plenty of pages to play with. I stacked them and hand-stitched them right down the middle.
To give it a little edge and contrast, I also ran black machine stitching along some of the pages and accents. The black thread pairs perfectly with the bold black outlines and details found throughout the collection. It adds just the right amount of pop without being overpowering!
This little album measures 4 x 5.5 inches – a great size for a quick creative session, happy mail, or documenting little crafty wins. I kept the layout flexible and fun, adding layered embellishments and pops of colour throughout. One of my favourite parts of this project was using the scissors and washi tape dies to make my own matching embellishments! They are SO cute and bring that extra level of crafty detail that makes each page feel special.
Now, on to my favourite part: embellishing! The crafty icons are just the cutest and instantly make every page feel like a celebration of creativity. Creating with Crafty Babe was such a fun experience, it really reminded me why I love memory keeping in the first place. I documented photos of some of my recent crafty hobbies and this mini album is definitely one I’ll treasure, and I hope it inspires you to make your own version filled with crafty love.
