Love is in the Air! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hi everyone! It’s Ali, @funadventureswithali, and I’m excited to share my Valentine’s Day layout for the Simple Stories Design Team, featuring their adorable Heartstrings collection!
Isn't this bright floral paper just stunning? It made for such a bold background! I cut a heart out of white cardstock for a striking contrast against the vibrant paper. To layer it up, I created another heart using red polka dot paper, giving it that fabulous thick border!
In the upper right heart, I embellished with beautiful ephemera that adds dimension and layering, utilizing foam squares for an extra pop. At the bottom heart, how cute is that raccoon stealing my heart sticker?
I added even more ephemera around our Valentine photo of my husband Jeff and me, and had to incorporate the heart balloons die cut to match our heart balloon in the picture!
For a fun twist, I cut a slit at the bottom of the page and folded the paper back to create a peekaboo effect with some pink cardstock. I used enamel brads to pin the flaps down, matching perfectly with the red paper!
