Hello there! It’s Tya with you today and I am so happy to be here! So tell me, have you started making your Christmas cards yet? With Christmas being a month from today (YIKES!!!), I knew I needed to really streamline my card making and get going on it! Today I am sharing some quick and easy cards that you can whip up in a jiffy! I am using the festive “Jingle All The Way” collection to create these cards and what a fantastic collection this is!
So the gist of these cards is to use just a few papers and embellishments to make a stack of cards in sort of an assembly line process. Here are the supplies you will need:
-A2 size card base – I used white cardstock. The base measures 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches.
-2 pattern papers- one tone on tone (I chose the green dot side of the Tree Trimming Paper) and one bolder pattern ( I chose the Buffalo Check side of the Warm Winter Wishes Paper)
-1 strip of cardstock – I chose black
-Tags that are cut out from our Jingle All The Way – Tags paper. The tags are tied with Bakers Twine
-Stickers from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet and the Puffy Stickers
The Tag paper is one of my favorite new papers that Simple Stories has added to their papers this year. I adore these cut aparts especially because they are double sided so I can use either the printed side with their cute icons, or the unprinted side that makes for a great foundation to add my own embellishments. I used a mixed of both tag types to make 8 cards. The Tag paper comes with 15 tags total, so you could make almost double the amount of cards from just one sheet of paper!
Here is the basic way I put these together:
Start with your white cardstock card base and add the green dot paper on top of it.
Next add the Buffalo Check paper to the right edge of the card base
Now add the black cardstock strip to the left edge of the Buffalo Check paper.
Now, cut out a tag from the Tag paper. Trim the extra triangles off the top of the tag and then punch a hole in the center of the tag. Cut an 8 inch or so piece of Bakers Twine and lace it through the hole. Add the tag just to the left of center of the card.
Now the fun part! Decorate your tag with stickers and enamel dots!
These came together so quickly and I am tickled with how they turned out! Like I said, I created 8 cards using this method and while the base of the cards are all the same, each of the tags were a little different and super fun to decorate. Here are a few shots of all the cards I made!
Here are some close ups of all of the different tags:
So if you are looking for a quick, easy and SUPER CUTE way to make some holiday cards, I highly recommend picking up the adorable “Jingle All The Way” collection! I hope I have inspired you to make a batch of your own. The formula I used to create my cards can certainly be used for any collection so hold onto it for future reference! Thank you for stopping by today and have a great holiday season! Happy crafting my friends!
