Happy Harvest! by Christine Meyer

Happy Harvest! by Christine Meyer
Over the last year, the Simple Vintage collections have become my favorites to work with. They take me out of my normal comfort zone of bright colors and clean lines and allow me to dabble in a different style! Combine that with my favorite season, fall, and I'm in scrapbooking heaven. Our family photos from last fall were a perfect match for Country Harvest, let's see how I captured them!

Paper tearing is always a favorite technique to employ with the vintage collections. Pulling my inspiration from the photos, I used two papers with orange and one with green to create a torn background.

I layered the torn papers for the bottom 2/3rds of the layout, pulling up each torn edge to really play up the dimension.

I printed my big photo as an 8 X 10, but I really wanted to use the chipboard frames on it. So I boldly combined two of the frames, by cutting them apart and layering them together to frame the whole family. This is one part you will want to check out in the process video - it will make a lot more sense when you see it!

I followed that up by using a single chipboard frame for another smaller photo. I always love it when I can get more than one photo onto a layout!

I created my title by combining stickers from the Foam Stickers and the Cardstock Stickers. Using both a script font and a print font in the title really helps it to flow.

Finally I combined the Bits & Pieces Harvest, Bits & Pieces, and Foam Stickers to create a trail of autumn icons up and down the layout. I adhered them using both a tape runner and dimensional adhesive to create a flowing look.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
