Hocus Pocus! by Kylie Kingham

Hello friends! It’s Kylie back with you today on the blog and I am sharing a fun new layout with a Spooktacular theme! That’s right, with Halloween fast approaching I couldn’t wait to get crafty with the super cute ‘Boo Crew’ collection. It just screams adorable and I had a set of photos that would be a perfect combination for my page design. It’s all a bunch of Hocus Pocus!

I really loved the FANGTASTIC paper as a background and have added some border pieces of EW CREEPY and the OUR LITTLE SPOOKS papers as overlays on each side as well as the scalloped border from the sticker sheet. I love building layers of colour and patterns. Creating borders is an easy technique to be able to create a lovely texture and dimension for your page.

Each photo was printed at 6”x 4” and trimmed slightly smaller. They were then backed with the 2 x 2 ELEMENTS paper to create a small border before being adhered at a diagonal to each other on my background.

I always love working with large titles on my pages and in this case I have added 2. The ‘Happy Halloween’ title from the sticker sheet was adhered with foam tape so that it would sit up from my background a little.

The second title was the ‘Hocus Pocus’ stickers from the foam sticker sheet. It was added to the opposite corner to my first title and I couldn’t resist adding the cute skeleton die cuts to embellish.

To complete my page I added several stickers, die cuts and chipboard stickers to help keep a nice overall balance to my layout.
