Good Times & Tan Lines! by Loredana Bucaria
Hey friends! It’s Lory here today and I am happy to share with you some pages of what will be my Summer 2020 mini album! I have chosen the beautiful 6x8 yellow Sna@p book and many different sizes of page protectors that I have loved so much! To mix and match orientations and pages gives a great dynamism to the whole album. I have played with the Sunkissed collection that is so colorful, it makes you feel happy just for the colors and the adorable embellishments it had. It makes you happy to remember or celebrate the happy little moments.
I started creating a cover, a starting page for my whole album, using just a little square card to give the title “good times” to my book. I stitched around the square and I covered the back of the pages with some paper rosettes and embellishments, tiny phrases stickers, foam stickers and decorative brads are perfect to fill the empty spaces.
Then I started my storytelling with a 6x8 page but first a 4x6 vertical page protector where I inserted a 4x6 journal card with Summer favorites and on the back a little letter “ Dear Summer” writing the intentions of this mini album.
I adore so much the tiny details, I consider them little pieces of joy.
Then first story and first page.
I love to write my stories and to add to them just little details than caught the eyes of who is going through the album.
The second combination of pages and photos is a 3x4 composition plus a photo flip pocket , I couldn’t wait to use it, it was a lot of time I was curious to use one of this pockets in one of my pages or album and finally it has happened. LOL :)
So on the left just a little titile with the foam stickers that I have placed on the page protector. On the right side the 3x4 page protector where I have inserted 4 3x4 pictures, a 3x4 journaling card and some tags and a ticket. I have played with the in and out of the page protector and to be honest I have loved this idea.
Each photo has a one or more details using a phrase sticker from the amazing Sunkissed sticker book.
So my advice is always to have fun telling your stories, I can’t wait to see my book complete and read again and again those beautiful moments.
I feel so thankful to can tell these stories in a creative way and to an go back through these albums and to live again these beautiful moments.
Hope you will be inspired to create your pages, to play with different sizes and to have fun telling your beautiful everyday stories. This collection is pure joy and I totally needed it!
Thank you for reading my article.
Have a wonderful June full of summer memories everyone.
