It's Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the new Happy Travels collection. This new collection is so perfect to document your travels with style, color, and fun designs. Whether you are planning a new trip, need to document your recent or past vacation, or just want to save your staycation memories then you will want to check this collection. Let me show you what I have created.
I love perusing through the entire collection to find inspiration in its pieces. That is how I found the beautiful double Chipboard frame, and the idea for the page quickly came around it.
I started by backing the empty spaces of the chipboard frame with the photos of my daughter on her latest trip. It was all about working on some layering to make the photos pop. I chose papers from the 6x8 paper pad, and Scenic Route to create the layers behind the frame before setting the page on the Good Times paper. I also added a few pieces of Multi Journaling Card paper to the left and side edges of the base to help bring all the colors into place.
I kept the embellishments on the chipboard frame simple, and instead decided to use the illustrations in the frame to help me anchor the idea of floating on air on the page.
I fussy cut a few of the hot air balloons from the Scenic Route paper and the 6x8 paper pad, these along with pieces of ephemera and stickers were placed on the page so that they formed a soft diagonal across the entire page. The location of the hot air balloons helped to add more interest and sentiment to the page.
For the title of this page, I mixed Title ephemera pieces with the fun sentiments in the Foam Adhesive shapes. A few extra smaller details and enamel dots helped to complete the page. I hope it inspires you to get creative with the new Happy Travels collection from Simple Stories. We cannot wait to see what you will create!
