It's Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the beautiful and fun Pumpkin & Plaid. We all love Fall, so having such a versatile collection to document our cozy days makes memories come to life easily, I wanted to bring color and the beautiful florals from the collection to the page, and I love how this spread turned out. Let's take a look:
It all started with creating an anchor piece for a photo of my littlest cousins just chilling at home with my mom and daughter. I decided to draw and cut the Blanket Weather into a heart shape, in order to make the design stand out a bit more, I adhered the heart onto the Cozy Things paper. I then trimmed the paper around the heart leaving a bit of an offset outside the heart shape -think of it as a frame-.
The shape was placed to the right of the page, so that a piece sits outside of the edges of a piece of Cream Color Vibe cardstock. I trimmed out the excess piece and then was set to work on the rest of the page.
I used papers from the 6x8 paper pad to create a few layers behind the photo, then adhere it onto the left edge of the heart shape. I highlighted the photo by adding a few of the floral icons (chipboard and sticker pieces) around the outer edge of it. The design in the floral icons was the perfect way to add movement to the page while linking all the clusters together,
To balance the page, I added one of the large scalloped strip sticker to the left edge of the base. This also provided a place to help anchor my title between the photo and this side of the layout.
For the layout's title, I combined pieces from the Cardstock and Foam stickers and placed them to the bottom left corner of the photo following the edge of the heart shaped on the background. Once again, I used icons to highlight the title sentiment and make it shine on the page.
