Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I've got a fun winter layout to share using the Winter Wonder collection. My oldest son still lives in Louisiana for college and they just had a snow day! It usually only snows once every few years so when they do get it, it's a big deal. The sweet boy that he is went outside of our house and had his girlfriend take a photo of him for me. I love it! Here's my page:
Instead of using a typical white or cream cardstock as my base, I thought it would be fun to use the Grey Color Vibe cardstock and create a snowy background using some gesso and the Snow Flurries stencil. While you can't really see the stenciling since I used a glitter gel, you can definitely see it better in person. The sparkly snowflakes were a great idea! I love the look of the white gesso on the grey cardstock. It really allows my photo and embellishments to really pop off of the page.
To add some pattern to my page, I trimmed out a couple strips from both the Brr Brr Brr and Chilly + Happy 12x12 patterned papers and adhered them to the top and bottom of my page. I then matted my photo using the 6x8 Paper Pad and backed it using one of the Chipboard Frames. I added my journaling to one of the Journal Bits pieces and adhered it to the left of my photo.
For my title, I chose a large phrase from the Foam Stickers and centered it right at the bottom of my photo. That bear from the frame is so cute and was perfect for my title to layer onto. I also tucked in a few more pieces from the Journal Bits package to create the foundations for a few embellishment clusters.
I LOVE Rub Ons and the ones in this collection are amazing. I love how there are so many packed onto one sheet and that you get such a variety of icons and phrases in different sizes. I especially love the stitching ones. If you don't have a sewing machine or need something in a pinch, these are perfect!! I built up this cluster by layering in a few trees from the Foam Stickers and a few Chipboard Stickers as well.
Here's one last look at my snowy page. For a finishing touch, I sprinkled in the adorable Glitter Enamel Dots and my page was complete!
