It's Rebecca with you today, and I'm so excited to be sharing my latest project with you, using the wonderful 'Crafty Things' collection. This is such a fun collection with pretty colours, accents of gold foil... and more crafty supplies than you can shake a stick at! It's a fabulous collection for documenting all your crafty memories - your craft space, favourite layouts, crop photos.... the possibilities are endless. I really liked the 'Get Crafty' patterned paper, and the triangle shapes on it gave me the idea for this layout. I cut the different coloured sections out and cut 'shards' from them. I then arranged these in two sections on my page, behind my photo.
From the Big Bits & Pieces, I selected the floral paintbrush and placed it to the left of my photo, with my Foam Sticker title running along the bottom. I chose the paintbrush because the photo I've scrapped in this layout is of a school art project my son made using recycled materials. He created his own underwater scene full of sea creatures which he painted himself. So, the paintbrush seemed very fitting. ❤️
To help balance out the paintbrush, I created a small cluster of crafty objects to the right of my photo using elements from the Bits and Pieces.
Not wanting the florals on the paintbrush to look out of place, I added a couple more floral clusters from the Floral Bits & Pieces to the layout. I simply adore the gold foiling that runs through this collection, and I think it looks especially pretty on the florals.
I felt like the layout needed something to the outer edges to tie everything together, so I trimmed about half an inch off of both sides and backfilled the gaps with the 'Right Here' striped paper, which matches the colours of my shards perfectly. To two of the corners, I added 3 of the gorgeous glitter enamel dots.
I love to finish my layouts off by adding tiny things! In this case, my tiny things consist of some of the phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers, some Decorative Brads and some of the gold hearts from the Foam Stickers.
