Hello Simple Stories friends!
It's Sophie @so_scrappy on the blog today and I am happy to share this new layout with you!
I used the beautiful Simple Vintage Sand and Sea collection!

I started with a beige cardstock base from the 12x12 Vintage Basics kit, then layered a beautiful woodgrain and floral paper that I cut to the width of the page. I stitched along each edge to anchor it and centered my photo right on top.

On the right side of the photo, I tore a piece of white cardstock and a white-and-red lined paper, lifting and curling the edges of both for extra dimension and visual interest. Over those torn layers, I built a beach-themed embellishment cluster: a beach ball, a pair of sandals, and a beach bag, anchored by a bird tag with a loop of twine for texture and softness.

I placed my title just above the photo with a pair of decorative sunglasses on top for a playful, summery touch. I handwrote my journaling on a tag, stamped the date, and finished everything off with a few enamel dots around the photo — those small pops of shine always pull a layout together beautifully.

This page is a wonderful reminder that sometimes the simplest beach day deserves to be scrapped with just as much love and detail as any big adventure. I hope it inspires you to dig out your own summer photos and get scrapping!
